ON A MARCHÉ SUR LES ÎLES
On a marché sur les îles
From June 26 to November 20, 2016, the exhibition of the project We walked on the islands “On a marché sur les îles” took place at the Musée de la Mer in Havre-Aubert. QC Canada Space: 13 photographs 84 '' x 21 '' made on stainless steel.
Between dream and reality, without rely on frames allowing me to recognize the place, I create images which do not look like the landscapes which I photograph. Breakaways from the imagination, the eye fed by known details, by unknown plots of land, I’m probing the unconsciousness of the place in its poetry to express a unique world. I am especially interested in the connection between the space which surrounds me and my internal subjective reality; between perception and reality of the landscape. The light is there but never stopped, a call to contemplation, an invitation to give up a sort of rationality to reach the impossible and take advantage of it. We walk in imaginary landscapes, in series of timeless images. Robin, Îles-de-la-Madeleine, July, 2015.
